Preparation and Standardization of Sodium Nitrite, 0.1 N

Assay a sample of sodium nitrite as described on page 601. Correcting for the assay value obtained, weigh exactly enough of the material to contain 6.900 g of NaNO2. Dissolve in 100 mL of water in a 1-L volumetric flask, dilute to volume, and mix thoroughly.
